I am loving January! It has been bitter cold here in Manti. Winter in it's full spectrum. We 've been waking up to a beautifull winter scene of a heavy blanket of snow that covers the ground. Pine trees covered in white frost, frost laiden trees, and fog surrounding the foothills of the temple and mountians. It is breath taking and inspiring to me. The deer enter our back yard every evening and explore the ground for anything to eat. They feel our presence but seem unthreatened by it. Though it is harsh for those out doors, (As my cat Callie is begging to come in.) I am awed of the beauty that it is. It is day's like this I want to make homemade soup and homemade bread. I crave reading a book with my children on the couch by the fireplace. I delve into paper work that has been ignored for what seems like months and my life is open to more organization that it has so desparatly been lacking. So just as winter is preparing itself for a new year of growth. I feel to do the same in my own life. I will enjoy it while I can.
I'm a little behind in this up date, but as they say, better late than never. On New Years Eve day we took the kids swimming at the Snow college swimming pool. We took cusins and met the neighbors there. Richard and I sat at the edge of the pool, reading our new Christmas books and discovering features on our camera.
