Blog the Dog

Satuday, we went over and picked out our new puppie. We haven't brought her home yet, this will happen on the last day of school. So that I won't be puppy sitting all by myself. Everyone that I have told about getting this new dog has been so supportive. Well, let me put it this way. I know what I am getting into. I told Mary Pipes what kind of dog I was getting and she, point blank, told me, "You will have a wonderful dog in 5-6 years, after she has grown up." When my friends heard her say this they just laughed as they saw my jaw drop. Mary is an animal lover, so I expected her full support. Many other friends have given me similar advice. Of course what are friends for. If I know all the bad up front, than, they can't say they didn't warn me and I will hopfully be getting into it, knowing, and expecting all these fun puppy things. I had a nother good friend send me the above picture. Maybe we will be able to blog our dog. Of course there will be no such picture's like this one. We are really excited to adobt Maggy. She seem like a bright intelligent puppy and we are up for the challenge of integrating her into our family. Maggy is a Boradore (short for labrador and Boarder Collie mix.) If you want one, Becky Olsen on my blog list favorites, has 4 more just like her. I think she has the buy one get one free sale going on right now. Anna and Abby and I will be posting a picture of Maggy soon. In the mean time you can live vicariously though me on getting a dog. From what I have been told, it's like having a new baby. (Don't bother sending gifts.) We will blog the dog.

Hahaha. That post makes me laugh! We have a black lab puppy and she is about 5 months old now.....All I have to say is, it's a good thing she is so darn cute. I would have given her away awhile ago. :) just kidding, but seriously, I have to admit, the thought did cross my mind.
The boys LOVE her to death. to death is not an exaggeration. Just this morning I caught them throwing water balloons into her mouth from the tramp. (not really water balloons though. They found my latex gloves in my cleaning basket and filled them with water.)
She has more energy than I can keep up with! Good thing I have two very energetic boys that can keep up with her!
And....you have teens and tweens at home. They'll be a good help.

I am glad you are excited and sharing your adventure. I will honor a buy one get one free. They really are cute and will eventually be a great family member. Anna, you can have one of these too!

Having a dog is like having a baby. I had a pug before I moved here and training her took a lot of time. But it was worth it in the end. I miss having her around. Abigail would've loved her at this age. Maybe when we have a house we'll get another one. This time I probably would keep her outside though. PUGS SHED ALOT!!!
